Syria's government on Wednesday demanded that Kurdish fighters leave the neighbourhoods they control in Aleppo following clashes between the two sides which saw thousands of civilians flee.

Syrian army has given SDF fighters a new deadline to lay down the arms and has also warned of imminent attacks targeting them in Sheikh Maqsoud area.

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which govern the region, denied any military targets in these areas.
